Fulltime in the truth

Trained to be a lifetime servant of Jehovah

"Sandwich" street-working.

Open and frank.
Already from childhood my parents tought me to be proud of being a Jehovah's Witness. Street-work is a good practice for finding out how much one really loves Jehovah. And these basic requirements, openness and frankness, will be of great benefit to anyone who in his youth is considering fulltime service.

Moreover you will enjoy your service by being together with a group of worshippers who has the courage to praise Jehovah without fear.

Bethel opportunity

Apprentice at bethel
From when I was 14 years old I spent 2-3 months working as a painter at the Danish branch. I was given permission to participate in the rutines of a bethelite such as the morningworship and the monday night Watchtower study for the family. I was baptised at the age of 15 so I was expected to give comments as well as conducting the family in prayer which I considered somewhat of a challenge. At that time you were expected to give a comment without notice so I prepared a comment for the daily text every evening just in case I would be picked.

Kingdom Ministry School.

Pioneer and elder
When I started out as pioneer in 1967 we did not have a Pioneer School. A pioneer then was on his own and had to rely on the training given by experienced pioneers in the area. When I was appointed an elder from 1972 I became better equipped for other priviliges within the christian congregation through the Kingdom Ministry School. I was only 23 years old and one of the other elders thought I had come to set up the microphones (1.Tim.4:12).

Gilead School - 59th class - 1975.

5 months bibelstudy.
What so many long for became reality for me and my wife in 1975. In a class of 25 young brothers and sisters we trained to become better preachers of the good news whereever we would serve Jehovah here on earth. Brother Glass described our class as "different" in his speech on graduation day. He had reason to say this because we had many questions and were not just "hearers" but "doers" of the word (James 1:22,23).
It is almost 25 years ago now but I still use some of my notes from Gilead and the training we received here we will always be thankful for.
