A Kingdom Hall 1954.
|
Lyngby Kingdom Hall The hall was built in the late forties and my father is conducting a part
of the service meeting. At that time members of The Theocratic Ministry School were called out at every meeting and if someone
were not present everyone would look around which was very embarrasing. |
| Circuit assemblies.
|
KB-hallen 1954. In this hall dance-competetions and badminton matches have been held - even Holiday-on-Ice were here. But in the early fifties many assemblies were held here. I remember seing the film "The New Society in Activity" here for the first time. In 1954 I was five years old but many events are still clear in my memory and with an attandence of more than 8.000 to me that was quite impressive. |
International assemblies.
|
"Triumphant Kingdom" assembly in Sweden.
In 1955 more than 6.000 brothers from Denmark travelled to the capital of Sweden to participate in the first international assembly
in Scandinavien. Although my mother was sick the whole family went. It was rare to see black brothers and sisters in Scandinavia
at that time. They came from Africa as well as the US and for me in some very "funny" clothes. |
