My family in the truth

1. My parents in 1936 - Robert and Inger Grøndrup. My mother grew up in the truth but my father learned the truth from a collegue at work. He was baptised in 1930 and at that time less than 1.000 were Jehovah's Witnesses in Denmark - even though the truth had been known to some Danes since 1894.
In the capital of Denmark, Copenhagen, you would find only a couple of congregations in 1930. However, the newly released magazine "The Golden Age" the congregations worked zealously in the subscription work and according to the Yearbook 1993 5.825 subscribers read this new magazine in 1930.
2. My grandparents -Richard and Karen Græm. In 1916 my grandfather found the truth from one of his mates in the Danish army during World War I. He was one of the anointed, and until his death in 1978 he served faithfully in the Christian congregation. My grandmother was also in the truth but died before my birth in January 1949.
3. My son - Joel. Joel is twenty years old and gives his parents many joys. He is walking in the footsteps of his parents and supports us much in our congregation. He auxilary pioneers a couple of months every year and is a very fine speaker.

3. My brother-in-law with my sister Karen-Bente. My sister, as well as my mother as well as my grandmother all died from cancer at the age of forty. They were faithfully serving Jehovah, and my sister served 20 years in the circuit work with her husband, Otto Møller, until her death in 1978. He is still pioneering. My wife, Anette, and I got married in 1971 so she had a few years together with my sister and grandparents, and she took care of them as if they had been her own parents and sister.
4. My in-laws Karl and Bente Laustsen My father-in-law raised his three children in the truth without any support from his wife. He found the truth through his brother in 1956 and served Jehovah faithfully as an elder up until he died of cancer in 1994. He was a meek and helpful person allways caring for others.
5. My sister-in-law, Birgitte, and her husband, Flemming, and Jacob and Rasmus My wifes younger sister Birgitte has been brought up in the truth. She serves in one of our neighbouring congregations with her husband who is an elder. They often auxilary pioneer and Flemming pioneered when he was younger. Jacob is willing and helps out at the book counter and gives fine talks at the Theocrtatic Ministry Scool.
